1. Who these terms apply to

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of airefinery.co.za ("the Site") and any purchase you make from us. By using the Site or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the Site or purchase our products.

2. What we sell

AI Refinery sells digital products only — including but not limited to ebooks, guides, templates, and courses (e.g. the AIR Starter Guide, Builder Guide, Scaler Guide, and the AI-Powered Business Templates Pack). We do not sell or ship physical goods.

All products are designed to help beginner entrepreneurs in South Africa learn to start and grow a business using free or low-cost AI tools. They are educational and informational in nature.

3. Pricing and currency

All prices on the Site are listed in South African Rand (ZAR). AI Refinery is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged or included in our prices. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but the price you pay is the price displayed at the time you complete your purchase.

4. Payment

Payments are processed securely through Paystack. We do not collect or store your full card details — these are handled directly by Paystack, which is PCI-DSS compliant. By making a payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

5. Delivery of digital products

Because our products are digital, there is no physical shipping. Upon successful payment, you will receive access to your purchased product via email or an automatic download link. If you don't receive access within a reasonable time (e.g. 24 hours), contact us at beau@airefinery.co.za.

6. Cancellations, cooling-off, and refunds

We offer a 24-hour refund window from the time of purchase. You may request a full refund within 24 hours of buying a product — whether or not you've downloaded or accessed it — no questions asked.

After 24 hours, sales are final, except where a product is defective, corrupted, or not as described, in which case you remain entitled to a refund or replacement at any time, as required under the Consumer Protection Act.

To request a refund, email beau@airefinery.co.za with your order number and reason for the request.

Under ECTA, the statutory default cooling-off period for online purchases is 7 days, though this generally falls away once digital content has been accessed — much like a software licence or sealed recording can't be returned once opened. A 24-hour window is more generous than that "no refund once opened" default in one sense (it covers you even after download), but shorter than the full 7 days in another. Worth a quick legal confirmation that this framing holds up as your official policy.

7. Intellectual property and licence to use

All content we sell — including guides, templates, worksheets, and course material — is protected by copyright and remains our intellectual property (or that of our licensors).

When you purchase a product, we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own business. You may not:

Resell, redistribute, or share our products with others
Repackage or rebrand our content as your own and sell it
Upload our products to free file-sharing sites or public groups

If you'd like to use our content in a way not covered here (for example, as part of a course you're building), contact us to discuss a licence — we're generally open to this, we just need to agree terms first.

8. The free quiz and lead magnets

Our free quiz and other lead magnets (like free guides or checklists) are provided to help you assess your business stage and get relevant recommendations. By using the quiz, you agree that:

Your responses may be used to personalise the content and offers we show you
Providing your email address to receive quiz results or a free guide also opts you into our mailing list, unless you unsubscribe (see our Privacy Policy for details)

9. No guaranteed results — educational content only

AI Refinery provides educational content, tools, and templates to help you start and grow a business. We do not guarantee any specific financial result, income level, or business outcome from using our products. Your results depend on factors outside our control, including your own effort, market conditions, and how you apply what you learn.

Nothing on this Site constitutes financial, legal, tax, or professional business advice. Where relevant, you should consult a qualified professional (such as an accountant or attorney) before making significant business or financial decisions.

10. Third-party tools and links

Our guides may recommend or reference third-party tools (such as Canva, Paystack, or Brevo). We don't control these platforms, and we're not responsible for their availability, pricing changes, or terms of service, which can change at any time without our knowledge. You use any recommended third-party tool subject to that provider's own terms.

Our Site may also link to social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) or allow you to contact us via WhatsApp. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, not ours.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, AI Refinery and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including loss of profits or business opportunity) arising from your use of the Site or our products. This does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as our products, tools, or legal obligations change. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
